The Cambridge Audio L/R S ultra compact active stereo speakers are built for desktops, shelves, and other small listening areas where space is limited. The system uses built in Class D amplification to supply twenty five Watts into four Ohms across four channels. This setup provides steady sound at any volume and removes the need for an external amplifier.
Each channel uses a twenty one millimeter aluminum dome tweeter and a three inch polypropylene cone mid woofer. This combination covers a frequency range from sixty Hertz to twenty kilohertz. For setups that need more bass, the main speaker has an RCA subwoofer output.
The system is easy to set up. The main speaker connects to the secondary speaker with a two meter high level signal cable that comes in the box. Wired and wireless connections are available for different audio visual setups. The rear panel includes an RCA pair line level analogue input, a TOSLINK optical digital input, and a USB C audio port that works with up to twenty four bit PCM audio. Bluetooth five point one supports SBC, AAC, and aptX HD audio for wireless streaming. These options make it practical to connect computers or digital media players in a small sound system.
