The Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M is a digital to analogue converter and headphone amplifier built for audio systems that need accurate signal conversion. It uses two (2) separate ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE converters, one for each channel, to keep stereo separation clear and reduce crosstalk. This setup facilitates maintaining detail and sharpness in music, even at higher frequencies.
The DacMagic 200M offers a range of input options. It has two optical and two coaxial terminals for digital audio up to twenty four bit one hundred and ninety two kilohertz. The USB Type B port handles higher resolution files, up to thirty two bit seven hundred and sixty eight kilohertz or native DSD512. The unit supports Master Quality Authenticated decoding for studio quality playback. Bluetooth with aptX is built in for wireless streaming.
For outputs, the DacMagic 200M includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, plus a front panel quarter inch headphone jack. Output voltage can be set to fixed or variable, depending on the system. Three digital filter presets are available to match different equipment setups. The unit keeps a signal to noise ratio above one hundred and fifteen decibels.
